After the Frankfurt auto show, many manufacturers presented their new products, some only concepts, and some like Renault their future sales novelties. Talisman Estate became such a model. The model will go on sale from March 2016.
Exterior Talisman Estate
The elegant Renault Talisman Estate station wagon is shaped like a VW Passat station wagon. At the front, the car is expressive thanks to the large open radiator grille with chrome stripes. At the top of the grille, the designers have placed a large Renault emblem. Talisman Estate headlights were made long, which were located from the edge of the radiator grille to the side of the Renault wing. On the edge of the headlights, daytime running lights were placed, which from the headlights go to the bumper under the headlights, thus emphasizing the front of the Talisman.
The lower part of the bumper has a large open grille, chrome inserts with fog lights are located on the sides. Above the grille, a hood was placed with the characteristic curved lines and ribs characteristic of new models.
On the side of the front fender, at the top, there are ventilation holes, with chrome inserts. The side mirrors will be painted in the same color as the body with the turn signals at the bottom. The comfortable low seating position of the Renault Talisman Estate makes it attractive as a family car. On the rear right fender, a gas tank cap was located.
At the rear, the Talisman is unusual, since the long feet along the trunk lid are separated only by the Renault emblem located in the middle of the lid. Under the emblem, there is the Talisman inscription lined with chrome letters. The entire lettering is emphasized by a chrome strip, under which the designers have hidden the rear-view camera and the handle for opening the trunk. Some of the feet are located on the fenders, which makes them stand out on the body of the car, and are clearly visible to the Talisman driving behind.
A spoiler with stop repeaters was placed above the trunk glass. The designers made the rear bumper larger by placing two exhaust pipes under the bumper. The bottom of the bumper is accentuated by a black diffuser, into which the manufacturer has installed a parking assist system.
The dimensions of the body of the Renault Talisman Estate almost coincide with the dimensions of the Talisman sedan:

- height - 1460 mm;
- wheelbase - 2810 mm.
On the choice of color, the manufacturer has not yet clarified the full list of colors, but it is known that Talisman Estate will be available in:
- Navy blue;
- Brown;
- Beige;
- White;
- Gray;
- Black;
- Red.
The trunk volume of the station wagon without the backs folded is 572 liters, with the rear seat backs folded it increases to 1700 liters. Wheels are installed 19?, In contrast to the sedan, where available as 16? so and 19 ?.
Renault Talisman interior
The interior of the Talisman Estate station wagon completely resembles the interior of the Renault Talisman sedan. The interior of the car is upholstered in leather, brown and black upholstery will be available, it is planned to add light colors to the variety.
The front panel is also sheathed in leather to match the interior color. On the doors at the top of the front there are chrome handles for opening the doors, just below the armrest with control buttons. On the driver's side, on the armrest, there are buttons for adjusting the rear-view mirrors and controlling all door windows.
The steering wheel has not changed, the multimedia control system on the steering wheel has become more saturated, with an increase in the number of control buttons, both on the right and on the left. A control panel was placed behind the steering wheel. In keeping with the novelties, the manufacturer Renault also decided to install a large display instead of mechanical devices, which displays all the necessary devices.
The speedometer is made together with a tachometer, which is very convenient when driving, the engine temperature sensor is located on the left, the fuel sensor is on the right. A multimedia part was placed near the speedometer, which shows various information. The backlight can be changed depending on the driver's taste, red and blue backlights are available as standard. The panel is also illuminated to the right above the glove compartment and to the left of the steering wheel.
To the right of the Estate's steering wheel is a multimedia panel with a large 8.7 ″ touchscreen display, which is more reminiscent of the display from a Tesla car. The multimedia system under the Android operating system can control mobile communications, display the image from the rear view camera, and display information about the state of the car.
Climate control and other Talisman Estate control knobs were placed under the display. Next, we placed the handle for the checkpoint. A knob for menu control and car suspension was placed even further. The fully steerable 4Control chassis can operate in five modes: Eco, Comfort, Neutral, Sport and Perso, which affect the performance of the suspension, transmission and engine. Talisman Estate will be equipped with both automatic and manual transmissions.
The rear of the Talisman Estate is completely reminiscent of a sedan, except that the luggage compartment is separated not by a shelf, but by a curtain with thick fabric.
Safety of the station wagon Renault Talisman Estate 2016
Talisman Estate's safety is not compromised by other cars of this class, the auxiliary SRS system, complete with an on-board computer, keeps the car in the tightest turns and accurately calculates the trajectory.
Airbags are installed in front of the driver's and passenger sides, side airbags are also installed, which, in a collision, close them from glass on the doors, thereby protecting passengers from glass on impact.
The Estate comes standard with front and rear seat belts with a seat belt monitoring system. In the back row, the belts are designed in such a way that you can fasten a child seat.
With auxiliary systems, cruise control, AEBS, an emergency braking system designed for a speed of 60 km / h are installed.
Specifications Renault Estate
In terms of technical characteristics, the Talisman Estate station wagon is not inferior to the sedan. The buyer will have access to a choice of engines, both gasoline and diesel. From the petrol ones, Energy TCe150 and Energy TCe200 are presented, which are supported by an automatic seven-speed transmission, with a double clutch. They are capable of delivering 150 and 200 hp.
The diesel engines will be powered by Energy dCi 110, dCi 130 and dCi 160. The dCi 110 and dCi 130 engines will be equipped with a six-speed manual transmission or six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The dCi 160 twin-turbo engine will only feature a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Accordingly, each engine is capable of delivering 110, 130 and 160 hp. All engines are made as in-line, four-cylinder. CO2 emissions are 95 g / km.
The price of the new Renault Talisman Estate
As already mentioned, Talisman Estate sales will begin in the first half of 2016. The cost of Talisman Estate will vary from $ 28,000 to $ 35,000, Renault's main competitor is the VW Passat station wagon, experts say, the price will coincide with the competitor's price, and maybe even lower in order to lure buyers to Renault's side.
