It is expected that the car will acquire a monocoque body, independent front and rear suspension, as well as a transverse engine, which will be represented by 4-cylinder 2.5-liter petrol engines, one of which is a 150-horsepower naturally aspirated, and the second - a 170-horsepower engine with turbocharged. The company says that the Patriot model will be the first to test the new engines after which they will be transferred to the 3170 SUV.
Automotive experts suggest that the novelty will acquire a modified all-wheel drive system, equipped with a center differential. The gearbox will be a manual transmission, familiar from the last generation "Patriot", as well as an imported 6-band "automatic." the leadership of the domestic auto concern. The assembly of the new UAZ 3170 will presumably be deployed at the Sollerovsky enterprise located in Yelabuga.
