In the vastness of the Russian automotive market, rumors have long been circulating when the new Vitara from Suzuki will go on sale. We will tell you about the date of presentation of the car in dealerships, its characteristics.
The other day the manufacturer officially announced when the car will go on sale. Suzuki announced earlier this year that the new Vitara S sports utility vehicle will launch in March 2016. But already in early March, they officially announced the arrival of the "charged" Vitara S in early April.
Suzuki dealers are already collecting orders for the new SUV, although the price has not yet been announced. Nevertheless, the technical characteristics with which the S model will be sold in Russia are already known.
For Russia, this SUV will be offered with the AllGrip all-wheel drive system. Under the hood there will be a turbocharged gasoline engine of the Boosterjet type, its volume is 1.4 liters. The power is 140 horses and the maximum torque is 220 Nm.
The engine will be paired with an automatic transmission, but in other countries, the Suzuki Vitara S will be available with a manual transmission. Externally, the first thing that distinguishes the "charged" S from the usual Vitara is the radiator grille, alloy wheels of a completely different design. Inside, it is a completely different interior design, with red details installed in the Suzuki Vitara S set with seven airbags, climate control, dynamic stability control, cruise control, light and rain sensors. Parking sensors are installed in a circle. On the other hand, this is a multimedia system, with a 7 ″ display in the middle of the front panel, the display also shows the picture from the rear view camera.
The standard equipment of the Suzuki Vitara in Russia includes a 1.6 liter gasoline unit. Its power is 117 hp, a five-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission is installed in a pair to the engine. The price of a regular Suzuki Vitara is $ 11386.
Thus, we can conclude that the "charged" Suzuki Vitara S will find its customers and, taking into account the configuration, will not be much more expensive than the already known ordinary Vitara.
