On the streets of Frankfurt, photographers spotted a new Renault Koleos 2017 in a special camouflage camouflage. On the streets of Frankfurt, photographers spotted a new Renault Koleos 2017 in a special camouflage camouflage.

Following the launch of the fourth generation of the Clio, Renault continued to redesign the Kadjar and Talisman SUVs. The latest model replaced the already well-known Laguna model, which from the outside was already versatile in its kind and well-equipped.

But still, they say that it should be much better under the guise of the new 2017 Renault Koleos. Still, I wonder what this new Renault Koleos or what is it called in another way Grand Kadjar is preparing for us?

By all accounts, it is already known that the new Koleos will be based on the CMF-CD platform from Nissan X-Trail. Also, the manufacturer wants to mix the best qualities taken from a family crossover with a D-class SUV. The new Koleos is rumored to be fitted with seven seats, but there is no confirmation whether it will come standard with a third row of seats or not.

Photos published and taken by Christian Omut in lower Frankfurt, Germany. You can see that the Koleos has become wider, the shapes are reminiscent of a massive SUV, not as round as the predecessor of this Kadjar series.

Probably what Renault hasn't changed is the modern front grille with a small emblem relative to the proportions of the Koleos body. If you take a closer look, you'll realize that the new Koleos has LED headlights with daytime running lights. These Renault headlights were installed in the previously presented Talisman model. The rear of the Koleos is made to Renault standards.

As for the shape and size of the quarters of the rear windows, according to hunters for camouflage prototypes, the caught Koleos contains three rows of seats for seven seats and bears little resemblance to the five-seat Kadjar crossover.

Recalling that the new Koleos is based on the Nissan X-Trail, there is no reason to hope that Renault will also supply the CVT engine from the Nissan X-Trail, as the French manufacturer prefers to install the EDC automatic dual clutch. Of course, we are looking forward to information about the Koleos transmission, which can be presented as automatic or with a choice for the buyer in the form of a manual six-speed gearbox.

As for the engine, by all assumptions it will be a gasoline turbocharged 1.6 liter engine with a capacity of 163 horsepower, but the option for the buyer of a 1.6 liter diesel engine at 130 and 160 horsepower is also not excluded.

The car was spotted several times and all the time with registration plates from Stuttgart, maybe there have been changes in the management of Renault. Also why Renault chose Frankfurt and not another city or country in Europe, especially in anticipation of the release of the new Megane model in September 2015. All this is in secret and one can only guess.
