Already in early April 2016, we can expect the sale of new diesel engines V6 and V8 from Audi. The manufacturer is not phasing out its existing famous diesel engines.

According to the latest reports, the German company Audi will release a new generation of the V8 TDI diesel engine and will present it at the engine symposium in Vienna. I would like to clarify that there is no official statement about the public display (presentation) of the V8 TDI from Audi, but this is not the first time the company, having stated in words, confirms with actions.

The first batches of V8 TDI diesel engines will appear in April 2016 on the new generation of the A8 model. The new diesel unit will deliver 400 horsepower and maximum torque of 677 Nm. Comparing with the current variant of the V8 TDI, the torque in the new unit will be less, although everyone had expectations for more power and torque.According to reliable sources, the new V8 TDI on the 2017 Audi A8 will be able to accelerate the car from 0 to 100 km / h in just over 4 seconds. It is worth mentioning that the new V8 diesel engine can be used in other cars of the Volkswagen group, for example, the Porsche Panamera and the new generation Bentley Continental.

To accompany the new V8 TDI, Audi is planning to introduce a new hybrid V6 TDI engine. The second variant V6 TDI will be used in the prototype of the new RS5 model. The diesel unit on the sporty RS5 is expected to perform better than the previous variant, with more torque and power.

The manufacturer does not indicate the exact characteristics of the V6 hybrid engine, but makes it clear that it will be charged and more powerful than the previous one. The new diesel engines will first go on sale in stores in Europe.

It is assumed that almost immediately the engine will also go to stores in the States. In America, it is expected that Audi will not break the law, unlike the famous VW diesel engine, and will show excellent results in all respects.
