The updated European pickup Nissan Navara was officially shown to the public. The main changes were made to the suspension, an updated engine, a new transmission, as well as an infotainment system. Under the hood of the updated Nissan Navar, there is still a 2.3-liter dCi diesel unit. The power of the unit depends on the modification, it will give out 163 or 190 horses. From the previous model, the maximum torque has increased to 425 Nm. The top version (190 hp) will produce 450 Nm.

To improve the stability and reliability of the engine, it was equipped with two turbochargers, the pressure increased from 2000 to 2200 bar. Following the updated piston and diamond-coated rings, the cooling system underwent revision. Together with all of the above, the exhaust system has been revised. As a result, the engine meets Euro 6d-temp standards and is paired with the 2020 Nissan Navara diesel engine with an updated 6-speed manual gearbox, which is now being produced in Europe. The main difference is in reverse gear shifting, it engages on top of first gear. In addition, the gear ratio is longer, which improves engine efficiency and reduces fuel consumption. As for the previous 7-speed automatic, it is only available with a 190 horsepower engine.

The suspension of the new Nissan Navara 2020 pickup has received the status of the second generation, since the rear is equipped with a 5-link suspension. This has improved comfort and handling, while not compromising on lifting capacity. Depending on the configuration, the lifting capacity of the Nissan Navara will be from 1115 to 1180 kilograms. Since the body and individual suspension elements were modified, the changes were made to the wheels. 16 ″ wheels disappeared from the basic configuration, instead they offered a choice of 17 ″ or 18 ″ alloy wheels.

The latest refinement is the NissanConnect infotainment system, based on an 8 ″ color touchscreen display. It was based on two systems Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. As an option, they offer 4G mobile communication, 3D navigation maps, as well as many other additional comfort systems. A new function ITSA (Intelligent Trailer Sway Assist) has been added to the safety systems. The technique allows you to stabilize the trailer by braking certain wheels, as well as reducing the torque.

The list still includes an emergency braking system, a downhill start / descent assist assistant, as well as an intelligent all-round view system. For the European market, the new Nissan Navara pickup will be assembled in Barcelona, at the NMISA plant. Dealerships are already taking orders for pickups. In Germany, the starting price of a pickup truck is from EUR 28,030. Closer to the middle of autumn, the car should appear in Russia and neighboring countries.
